366 Project - Day 351 - "1 Peter 4:8"

December 16, 2016 - "1 Peter 4:8"

It's hard when your teenaged, autistic son is screaming at the top of his lungs that he hates you.

It's hard... and it hurts.

It hurts even more when you find yourself reacting out of anger and frustration... only to lie awake all night with tears in your eyes, wondering why and how it is that you keep failing and falling so hard and so often.

So I turn to what I know... and I begin to pray, asking for some sort of guidance. I even find myself whispering to my brother Peter in the night - "Bro... I know you're up there. Help me!"

I open my Bible and glance at the page. It's the fourth chapter of the first letter of St. Peter - and the eighth verse catches my eye:

"Above all, let your love for one another be intense, because love covers a multitude of sins."

And there it is.

Thanks, Bro!

(damn I miss you!)
