365 Project - Day 292 - "Swirling"
October 19, 2010 - "Swirling"
Once upon-a-time there was a Gnome named Fred.
Fred was doing yard-work one day when he accidentally killed the King's favorite goat, Tom-Tom, in a freak lawn-mowing accident.
When the King found out, he became very, very upset! In a fit of rage he went to his sister Linda, who was an evil sorceress... and asked her to cast a curse on Fred the Gnome as punishment for killing Tom-Tom. Linda decided that the most fitting punishment would be to turn Fred into a statue... so pigeons would poop on him.
But Linda was not a very good sorceress. She had a lisp... which made her Jersey accent even less understandable. Instead of cursing Fred... she accidentally cursed ALL gnomes - turning them into statues right where they stood.
And that is why there are Gnome statues in gardens.
What does this have to do with today's photo? Abso-freakin'-lutely nothing!
(Life is good!)
