"365 Project" - Day 61 - "NOVA 40"

Mar. 02, 2010 - "NOVA 40"

I've had this pair of headphones since I was a baby. Seriously. It was the only way my parents could get me to sleep sometimes. I have a photo of my father holding me in his lap... I'm wrapped in a blanket and wearing these headphones... and we're both passed out.

Obviously I still have the headphones...

I still have what's left of the blanket too.

Over the years not much has changed. I don't fall asleep in my dad's lap anymore... but I do still tend to listen to music while drifting off to sleep. These days it's done with an iPod and a wonderful pair of Bose in-ear headphones. The music has changed too. I have no idea what my parents had me listening to as a baby... probably the Bee-Gees or ABBA, considering my loathing of both now - these days however it tends to be an interesting mix... from Beethoven to Charlie Parker to Iron Maiden.

As for the NOVA 40s... well... they still work great, 34 years later. Every once-in-a-while I use them... just for nostalgia's sake... and drift off into a world of memories.
